Meet Jennifer
I have never met a child who wasn't capable. What I have met are children who haven't yet been believed in, supported, or taught in ways that fit how they actually think. Twenty-five years later, that child is still why I do this.
I'm Jennifer, founder of Math3 Collaborative and Nurture & Wonder Microschool. I'm a certified educator, mathematics specialist, and instructional coach with experience spanning classroom teaching, special education, and district-level leadership across multiple states. My work has always lived at the intersection of how children learn and why so many of them are told — directly or indirectly — that they can't.
Math³ Collaborative is the proof of concept. Nurture & Wonder is the full vision.
What I Bring to This Work
My approach is grounded in the research frameworks that have molded how I see children and math:

Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) — a research-based framework that centers children's mathematical thinking rather than procedural compliance. I don't teach children to follow steps; I teach them to think.

Math Recovery (US Math Recovery Council® Integrow) — a diagnostic and intervention methodology designed for students who have fallen significantly behind. I am completing certification as a Math Recovery Specialist.

Cognitive Coaching — I work with educators and families, not just students. Coaching is built into how I think about every relationship in this work.

Before founding Math3 Collaborative, I served as Mathematics Instructional Facilitator for a local school district — responsible for K–5 math curriculum, instruction, and professional learning.
